Compassion Festival

About the Festival

The Compassion Festival is an initiative where kids from different orphanages all over Goa come together for a day to play games and spend time with each other. More than 200 kids participate in this festival from Fr. Agnel Orphanage Pilar, Margaret Bosco Bal Sadan Uccassaim, Konseisanv Bagram Verna and El-Shaddai Assagao.

The children participate in fun games, experiential activities and competitive games. The foundation conducts the activities on and off the field with video presentations, sing song sessions etc. apart from the sports activities of football.

This concept of all being winners brings joy and smiles on the face of every child.  Although there is also competition there are mostly learnings on value for daily living that the children experience. Sports being called as a School of Life is truly exemplified in the festival in the words of some participating officials from the orphanages.
